In my mind, there is no happier place than a school. Our small 4K-12 district has a long history of academic excellence provided in a safe, family-like environment. The Green Lake School is a student-centered school where every child is known and valued for his/her extraordinary talents, capacity to learn and most important, level of effort.
Our school is the only 4K-12 International Baccalaureate school in the state of Wisconsin and is 1 of 125 in the world. This unique approach to learning prepares our students for college, careers and citizenship in a global society. We put a high emphasis on the valuable competencies of collaboration, communication (speaking, writing and listening), creativity and critical-thinking.
Small class size and a low student-to-teacher ratio allows for positive relationships and lifelong friendships. Being small also gives our students the opportunity to participate in our many sports programs and academic clubs. I believe this personalized attention helps students learn the important leadership skills of self-awareness, adaptability and resilience.
Parents, community members, and anyone interested in our school, please use this website to locate information about the school, or stop by to see the school in action. If you have questions or comments, please feel free to contact me anytime at mallen1@glsd.k12.wi.us.
Have a great school year!
