The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Awards Free Breakfast/Lunch Program
The Green Lake School District was approved to provide FREE breakfast and lunch to all of their students (virtual students included), regardless of free/reduced/full pay lunch status, through December 31st, 2020 (or until funding is depleted). According to COVID–19: Child Nutrition Response #56, the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) allows all children in the community age 18 and under, including children who may not be enrolled in the district, to participate in the program. The district is grateful for the opportunity to feed all students during this difficult time.
All current school lunch account money for full pay students will be held over for student’s use after Dec 31st (or when funds are depleted). Parents are encouraged to still complete the Free/Reduced Federal application because other school fees and participation costs are waived upon approval. The application can be found on the school website at www. glsd.k12.wi.us. Questions regarding the food service program can be addressed to Donna Waterworth at 920-294-6411.
