Mission Statement:
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners that understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
The Learner Profile and Attitudes: The aim of all IB programs is to create learners who are internationally minded, who are aware that all people share a common responsibility for the planet, and who help create a better and more peaceful world. As we integrate the IB units into our curriculum, the students will become familiar with these learner profiles and attitudes, as each unit focuses on certain attributes of both. These attributes will carry with the students from grade to grade as they continue to learn through the IB program.
