I have loved being a kindergarten teacher in Green Lake since 1979.  Each class has taught me more about small children and provided much joy and laughter as we have learned together.  I have lived in Green Lake for 26 years, and my husband and I have enjoyed raising our three children in this school and community.  Our oldest daughter, Emma, is a teacher in St. Paul, MN.  Nash attended CVTC in Eau Claire and currently works as a Geek Squad Agent in Oshkosh at Best Buy , and Grace ,18, attends Green Lake school as a senior with plans to attend Winona State University next year.  We also have a cute but very naughty dog named Winnie who lives at our house.  We enjoy lots of musical activities - singing  and playing a variety of instruments, and I enjoy several craft hobbies.  I love spending time on the lake in my kayak.  Nash and I are members of a national choreographed drumming group called Sheltered Reality and we do drumming shows in various locations on a regular basis.  My past education included receiving a BS in elementary education with a minor in mathematics from UW Eau Claire, and later a masters in education with emphasis on early childhood development and reading from UW Oshkosh.  I have had the opportunity to teach overseas twice in my career - once in Scotland and once in New Zealand and learned so much about other cultures and educational systems from that experience.  I have enjoyed the training I have received regarding International Bacchelaureate inquiry instruction - I love to hear what the students are interested in pursuing within a topic.
